Fundolar for WooCommerce Sell without setting up each payment provider

Add one payment method to WooCommerce. Buyers choose mobile money, M-Pesa, PayPal, or a credit or debit card in a Fundolar window. Your checkout page stays open. The order is marked paid only after Fundolar confirms the money matches the order.

Stores that need more ways to pay without more merchant accounts

WooCommerce shops

Any store already selling with WooCommerce on WordPress. Physical goods, digital products, and services all use the same checkout method.

Shops blocked by gateway signup

If Stripe, PayPal, or a local processor will not approve the business, Fundolar Central runs those rails. You connect a bank in Central and a Site key in WooCommerce.

Buyers in more than one country

A buyer can pay in USD, UGX, KES, TZS, EUR, GBP, or NGN. M-Pesa is offered for Kenyan shillings. Uganda mobile money is offered for Ugandan shillings. Cards and PayPal follow the methods live on your Fundolar account.

Not the donation plugin

Fundolar for WooCommerce does not add a donation shortcode. The Fundolar donation plugin is a separate install for giving forms. Use this one when the customer is checking out a cart.

What the buyer does

Choose Fundolar

On classic checkout or the checkout block, Fundolar appears as a payment method. The description tells the buyer they can pay with mobile money, M-Pesa, PayPal, or a card.

Place the order

WooCommerce creates the order and keeps the buyer on your site. A Fundolar window opens for payment. If the browser blocks the window, the page shows Open payment window.

Pick currency and method

Inside the window the buyer selects a currency and a method. Cards are labeled Credit/Debit card. A phone number is asked only for M-Pesa or Uganda mobile money. The amount updates to the currency they chose.

Return to your thank-you page

When Fundolar confirms a completed payment that matches the original order, WooCommerce marks the order paid and shows the normal order-received page. Closing the window early leaves the order unpaid.

Connect the store with a Site key

  1. Install and activate WooCommerce, then install Fundolar for WooCommerce.
  2. Create an account at Fundolar Central.
  3. Open My sites → Add integration and choose WooCommerce. Use the same store address as the WordPress site.
  4. Copy the Site key. It starts with lic_.
  5. In WordPress open WooCommerce → Settings → Payments → Fundolar, paste the key, and click Connect.
  6. Turn the method on and save.

An API key from an SDK integration will not connect this plugin. Create the integration as WooCommerce so Central issues a Site key for the store.

What the store needs

  • WordPress 6.2 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer, with OpenSSL so the signing secret can be stored encrypted.
  • WooCommerce 8.2 or newer. The plugin declares compatibility with High-Performance Order Storage and the checkout block.
  • HTTPS on the store. The return address after payment is on your own domain.
  • A Fundolar account that is active. Live charges also need identity review approved in Central. You can connect the Site key before that; the first payment waits until the account can take payments.
  • The same site URL in Central and in WordPress. A staging address and a live address are two integrations.

What buyers can pay with

The list in the payment window is the methods already turned on for your Fundolar account. You do not enter those providers’ secret keys in WooCommerce.

Credit or debit card

Shown as Credit/Debit card. Card numbers are entered on Fundolar’s hosted checkout, not stored by this plugin.

PayPal

The buyer signs in with PayPal in the payment window. That is why the payment is a window and not a frame inside the checkout page.

M-Pesa and mobile money

M-Pesa is available when the buyer pays in Kenyan shillings. Uganda mobile money is available in Ugandan shillings. The buyer enters the phone that should receive the prompt.

Other rails on the account

If Paystack, Flutterwave, Pesapal, or Payoneer is live on the Fundolar account, it can appear for currencies that rail accepts.

Completed payments use the same Fundolar Central ledger as donations, including the documented platform fee shown in Central. Payouts go to the bank account registered there. WooCommerce does not hold the settlement balance.

Paid means confirmed

  • Placing the order creates a pending WooCommerce order and a Fundolar checkout for that total.
  • The plugin asks Fundolar for the payment status. It does not trust the browser message alone.
  • The order is completed when Fundolar reports the payment completed and the original order amount and currency match.
  • A buyer may pay in another currency. Fundolar converts the charge. The store order stays in its original currency.
  • If the buyer closes the window, the order stays unpaid. An M-Pesa prompt can still finish later; an hourly check completes the order when the payment lands.
  • A mismatch between the confirmed amount and the order is written on the order and the order is left unpaid.

What this release does not do

  • It does not refund a WooCommerce order back through the payment provider. Handle refunds in Fundolar Central and in WooCommerce according to your own policy.
  • It does not sell WooCommerce Subscriptions renewals.
  • It does not replace WooCommerce’s other payment methods. You can leave those enabled or turn them off.
  • It does not collect card numbers, PayPal passwords, or mobile-money PINs inside WordPress.

What WordPress sends to Fundolar

The plugin talks only to app.fundolar.com. Connection happens when an administrator clicks Connect. Order data is sent when a buyer places an order with Fundolar, while the checkout page checks status, and once an hour for unpaid Fundolar orders.

  • When connecting: the Site key and the store URL. Central returns an API key and a signing secret. WordPress encrypts the secret with the site’s salts and does not show it again.
  • When paying: order total, currency, order number, order id, billing name, email, and phone, and the return address on your store.
  • On the order: the Fundolar payment reference, so the store can ask Central whether that payment completed.

Deleting the plugin removes its settings and the hourly check. It does not delete WooCommerce orders. Terms: Terms of service. Privacy: Privacy policy.

Put Fundolar on the checkout
